It is the taste of Welsh cakes, any day, but especially on St David’s Day. It is white and blue enamel plates, which remind me of picnics on the beach. It is the smell of gorse, reminiscent of my native coastline. It is chinoiserie patterned ceramics. It is the sight and splendour of a Welsh blanket.

My Grandmother’s Welsh blanket takes pride of place in my home.  A beautiful black, cream and pink design, which is cherished beyond words.  We shared a love of beautiful things and the colour pink!
